@olly_b, the dpkg-reconfigure grub-pc only applies if you are booting in bios mode.
@Saurabh, the question was *what* output, not whether or not it exists. Also what is the output of sudo efibootmgr -v? @Terry, once again, running grub-install /dev/sda fixes it today, but breaks the next time grub is upgraded. You need to use dpkg-reconfigure grub-pc so the system remembers that it needs to run grub-install /dev/sda after the next upgrade. Also, once again, it can't be validated in an automatic way. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1289977 Title: Ubuntu 14.04 Update breaks grub, resulting in "error: symbol 'grub_term_highlight_color' not found" To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/grub2/+bug/1289977/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
