@psusi I am aware that I should not be running 13.04; that is why I attemped to install 14.04, which failed due to the bug we are all discussing! The information I gave is from a functional re-install of 13.04, which successfully boots either into Ubuntu or Win8, apparently without grub-efi. When there is concensus on a procedure for a dual boot installation of 14.04 , I will try again.
