@Mauro, I tried sudo -i (same as sudo su AFAIK) with no success. Just
add that line to rc.local and be done with it. My CPU temperature
indicator is showing 38C now (compared to 60s before). Stays in low 40s
most of the time. No fan heard. Battery life: 5.5-6 hours (verified) -
moderate use: browsing, etc.

A nice way to check those interrupts (instead of cat-ing every files) is:
grep . -r /sys/firmware/acpi/interrupts/

Glad we found a workaround. I am curious about other notebooks in this
thread (Lenovo, etc.). Interesting if it is the same interrupt.

All in all I am still debating whether to return the Samsung 7 (have
till Jan 24th) and just use my work MBP. It is the top of the line 15"
Retina model - very nice. So the question is whether to put up with
Apple atrocities like awkward keyboard and .DS_Store files to name a few
or deal with Linux's inconsistent trackpad two-finger taps and other
glitches. Sorry for offtopic. Inconsistent two-finger tap is pretty much
the only issue I have with this notebook. Everything else is perfect. I
can care less about the Evolution Calendar bug.
