@Mauro - Did you run sudo update-grub2 after you made the change to /etc/default/grub? Did you include acpi=noirq inside the double quotation marks, like so:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash acpi=noirq" The model of my Chronos 7 is: NP700Z7C-S02UK, and I'm using Ubuntu 12.10. I had installed all updates before implementing the above workaround/fix. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/887793 Title: Kworker constantly taking about 100% CPU To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/linux/+bug/887793/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
