OK strange: I recompiled alsa, using the script provided here: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1681577 rebooted and changed the EAPD flag of node [0x1b] and TADA sound works. This is really strange to me, I can not explain why it works now.
One thing left though: sound is coming over the internal speakers AND the jack at the same time, it does not switch off internal speakers when jack is used. I'll try some things and let you know if things get better. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/783582 Title: [Aspire 3830TG, Conexant ID 506c, Speaker, Internal] No sound at all To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+bug/783582/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
