Hello, i filed a question too about this bug, you can find it at https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa- driver/+question/162200
My system is a 3830TG with Ubuntu 10.04 kernel 2.6.39-0-generic. Below i attached the output of alsa-info.sh. If there is anybody with my same system, may he/she please tell me which of the proposed solution worked on his notebook? I ask this because i'm pretty keen on messing up laptops :-) Also, will there be a "definitive" patch in one of the next kernels for this issue and the other mentioned in the comments above? @David: I will test the pins and report to you as soon as possible. Thanks! ** Attachment added: "alsa-info.sh output" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+bug/783582/+attachment/2179275/+files/alsa-info -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/783582 Title: [Aspire 3830TG, Conexant ID 506c, Speaker, Internal] No sound at all To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+bug/783582/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
