Hi I have the feeling posting here in addition to the alsa-bugtrack-site can help improving the situation. I have the setup mentioned here: https://bugtrack.alsa-project.org/alsa-bug/view.php?id=5366. short: Acer Aspire 4830T with ubuntu 11.04 kernel 2.6.39-0 and alsa version 1.0.24
I have the feeling the solution/workaround is very close :-) @voyance_en_direct: I tried modifying all the settings mentioned in https://bugtrack.alsa-project.org/alsa-bug/view.php?id=5366. But no improvement at all, no sound using the Jack or the internal speakers. When setting the EAPD option you mention all I get is a beep that wont stop until I remove this option again. I can, however, change the volume of this beep :-) I can also hear this beep using the jack, the internal speakers won't switch off though. @diego.nunez: Do you also have the 5830TG? Seems to me the hardware in the 5830TG is a bit different. cheers -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/783582 Title: [Aspire 3830TG, Conexant ID 506c, Speaker, Internal] No sound at all To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+bug/783582/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
