This did the trick! There is no drop-down menu for the Window decoration, but manually change the text to Normal makes the drop-down shadow disappear. Thanks a lot. How did you make to find out the text for the settings should be changed to Normal?

We now have a hint that maybe, for an unknown reason, windows manager sees an open window where the dictionary window was even when we close it pressing esc. What do you do to close the dictionary window? Maybe there is a problem regarding how that window type closes. Maybe there is a problem with the way the certain window closes as IF YOU TERMINATE THE "gnome-dictionary- applet" THE SHADOW DISSAPPEARES again until you give another word. Also, if you give an unknown word, it seems like there is no way to close the window.(I think this is also a bug) Where can I find the source code of the applet? In what language it is written?
