Its a matter of usage scenario and in many cases personal choice. While ext file systems are the most used ones, there are a huge number of file systems with their own following.
For the case of FAT32 and NTFS, one needs to consider the stability of the file system driver. FAT32 driver implementation has been around for long and considered quite stable. NTFS driver implementation is comparatively new but considered stable/usable too. In technical merits of a file system, NTFS is a lot better file system than FAT32. But in terms of driver implementation for Linux, people tend to prefer FAT32 for its reputation of being around for long and stable (thus tested and stood trial of time). -- Soyuz On Fri, Oct 10, 2008 at 2:53 AM, > > > -- > [saikat] > www.nasirkhan.co.cc > ফেসবুক:http://www.new.facebook.com/home.php#/profile.php?id=1350570162 > আমার ব্লগ: http://nasir8891.wordpress.com > -- > ubuntu-bd mailing list > ubuntu-bd@lists.ubuntu.com > https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bd > -- ubuntu-bd mailing list ubuntu-bd@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bd
