The idea is OK, but I would like to have this implemented using a consistent interface across all other storage devices. In other words, a "FOO device [dev] - show or set current device" command should be implemented, no matter if "FOO" is "ide" or "usb" or "sata" or "scsi" or "mmc" or ...
