If I had to hazard a guess, the only way to do live shows while complying with stay-at-home orders would be to essentially do what the late night shows are doing, and send equipment to the contestants so they can rehearse remotely and perform from their homes. Whether that's *practical* is one issue; whether it's worthwhile for the producers is another entirely. The better option might be to punt the live shows into the summer and hope that confinement/gathering restrictions are lifted (NBC, at least, will need something to fill the time during the summer, since they not only don't have American Ninja Warrior and, I'm guessing, AGT, but now the Olympics are out too), although as Tom noted, that's anyone's guess at this point.
I've made no secret on this board that I'm a pro wrestling fan - as such, I've been keeping an eye on what they've been doing over the last month, as both WWE and AEW have been producing new shows in empty spaces (in WWE's case, their Performance Center in Orlando; in AEW's case, an event space in Jacksonville, FL, although they recently had to decamp to a wrestling school in GA after their Jax location ended up adjacent to a COVID testing site). AEW is rumored to have banked a few weeks worth of shows before GA's stay-at-home order closed them down; WWE had also banked some material in the run-up to the pre-taped, 2 night, empty-arena Wrestlemania this past weekend, but I haven't seen any info on how much material they've banked going forward. That being said, I don't know how practical it would be to continue producing new material - WWE has already had some big names sidelined with COVID diagnoses (The Miz & Rey Mysterio the most notable) - and given that pro wrestling is the literal opposite of social distancing, even assuming they could get around the stay-at-home order, I'm not sure it's ethical for them to ask their employees...sorry, independent contractors to keep working int he current environment. I can tell you that there's just something creepy about wrestling emanating from a largely-empty building - it's a bit like playing a video game with the commentary track on but all other sounds off - although I imagine that would be true for just about any live sport, save maybe golf.
