Right. So these shows have a preliminary phase where shows are recorded, and a later phase where shows are live. I’m not sure where they are in production schedule, but guessing they are pretty close to having completed the recorded phase, and waiting for the live shows. Even more than might be the case for scripted shows that have their finale’s cancelled, it will be awkward if these singing shows keep broadcasting the recorded preliminaries, only to get to the part where the live shows are supposed to start and instead have to say “never mind.”
I guess they could go on hiatus till June or July (unless, as is possible, things are even worse than we hope), but that would introduce such a gap that good chance some contestants won’t be able to participate (and of course, some might test positive for C-19).
