Back in 86, the Eagles/Raiders game i mentioned caused the 8:00 show to be
bumped. CBS went with the ending of Eagles/Raiders,* 60 Minutes* and the
movie. That's has been their policy if they get into a really long game
like that one. There was also a NCAA Tournament game in Spokane a few years
ago, before Turner started helping them do the tourney, that went late
enough that they had to do the same thing. Wasn't there a incident one
year, where Dan Rather walked off the news set because of the US Open semi
finals was going to cut into the news? *60 Minutes* has been affected by a
few US Open Finals going to a 5th set too. There was also a Jimmy Connors
match one year that wiped out the network and local news too i think in 91?
