    Of course the language is not precise but the thing is what people
    understand out of a given expression. At least here, when people put a
    sign in a shop saying they'll be on holidays from August 1st to August
    15th people understand that both are included.

    And it seems that all the feedback we all get is that current
    behaviour is not what the user expects. So for me, it is better to
    make closed intervals because it will make the application more
    predictable. Also, in accounting we use <= and >= when filtering
    information by period or dates.
