That's interesting to know.

I have 1366x768 on the laptop, 1280x1024 on the 4:3 and 1920x1200 on the
16:9.

I haven't used windows maximised since I've been using more than 800x600
resolution. I think a lot of the UI re-designs that are occurring in the
mainstream are centered around the usecase of a maximised window on a
high resolution screen. Therefore the tendency seems to be to make
things bigger such the the apps actually require more screen estate.

I think that the screenshot you sent is a reasonable size for the app to
be in a non-maximised scenario and therefore it should be designed to
show the information well at that size.

My current Trojita window is full height on my laptop screen (768
pixels) and slightly more than 3/4 of the width. Interestingly, that's a
touch larger than my Thunderbird window in both directions and the
Thunderbird session has several IMAP accounts with lots of mailboxes.

I look to Trojita for a really minimalist and elegant experience and
it'd be good if future UI developments would focus on getting the most
out of the space it uses rather than just being like all the other clients.

Regards,
@ndy
