Run ifconfig and make sure that it has the right ip addr:
        eth0      Link encap:Ethernet  HWaddr 00:B0:D0:20:06:FC  
        inet addr:198.99.130.20  Bcast:198.99.130.255  Mask:255.255.255.0

which is the 198.99.130.20 above.  Check your address against your host file 
or nslookup on your machine name.

Then see if you can ping it from a server.

If you can ping it, then everything else should work.  If not, then the error 
message should provide useful information.

Also, see if you can get out from it, like pinging other machines, and 
telnetting to them.
