Don't throw the baby out with the bathwater... It is very usable, but of course there will be some bugs. We just got our JIRA license and will be putting up a proper issue tracker to report these items and encourage anyone to post. Also you can join the mailing list, which can also help declog the tapestry list from specific Cognition issues:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] In regards to DB: We have only been testing properly with MySql so it is recommended you use it as the RDMS for testing Cognition - this will clear up a lot of issues. (I thought I had stated this clearly in the documentation but apparently didn't make it in - apologies). Oracle and Postgres are the next two major dbs to test fully. Ant tasks: Open up the 'Ant View' and drag in the build.xml file. Documentation: We state pretty clear it's a work in progress - trying to get out as much as we can. Part of the beauty of open source is that you can... look at the source. So outside the Modeler, the Cognition Framework src is available at http://dev.thelabllc.com/downloads/. We recommend running the SLAVE module (which we are porting to the Modeler as a new project template). More docs about this will be coming out as soon as possible. Quoting Pedro Viegas <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>: > Have to agree with Ed. > Gave a little try at the product and didn't get far also. > Also could not read a schema from database (tried Oracle) > Although I could edit the new schema created giving names to columns and so > on (one has to be patient and give a click on the table... wait half a > second e give another click... and it enters edit mode.
