That is no shock to me when you create your own custon lables and don't use what is on the phone. No system is going to be able to handle that being your own lables aren't part of the VCF file format.

I have had the same problem. When I switched to the iPhone, I used outlook
as an intermediry. The problem appears to be the details that outlook
recognises. I had duplicate contacts since the transfer process created two contacts with 2 separate details. For example, I had custom labels assigned
to phone numbers in my Nokia phone. They did not migrate.

I am hoping for a better solution.
