Well that's your choice but it is nice being able to use the email client and that it works beautifully. The browser works as it should as does filling in forms and the symbol list works properly. The only issue I have found when I open the radio and talks says select radio type when I use the up or down arrow keys nothing is spoken. When I select a radio type all is fine with talks. I tried correcting this with the object viewer but apart from select radio type and exit none of the objects on that screen contain text like fm radio or internet radio. Even the help system works well. But if you are happy with the level of accessibility you have with the latest firmware then that is good. I was not. Next time I am near a nokia care centre I will ask them if the firmware can be rolled back on the handset I was using up until a few days ago.
I don't know if they will roll back firmware but it can't hurt to ask.
If not I will sell or give the handset running the latest firmware to a sighted friend or relation. I noticed with the latest talks and latest firmware links on a web page were spoken twice when you down arrowed through them at least on the blindsea web page they did.

Hi Bernard,

Most of the E72 works so no downgrades unless I am forced to do so.

Well with firmware
51.018 all works so well with talks. Set my email up a while ago and it
works perfectly. I wonder if you took a handset to a nokia care centre if
they would roll back the firmware to the version you asked for.

It's just so nice having a phone, firmware and talks that work so well
together.

I think now that unless I have a problem that an upgrade would fix I won't
upgrade this handset. If future releases of talks make some apps work that
we currently can't use I would upgrade the talks version otherwise I will
leave things as they are on this e72-2.

pranav,

if you're refering to the symbol list that comes by pressing the next to
the edit key the, for that, you got to press the same key twice. if you're

talking about talks being able to read the symbols inside the smses, then,

that is something that has been intorduced with this version. for example,

it just says 'I' when you type in :) in a message. even the installation
of the eloquence with an enhanced dictionary also doesn't seem to have
improved things.

The people that are having issues with the e72. Can you please provide
what
firmware you have on the phone and if it is branded or not to the cell
provider or not. However the firmware version is required. Brandede or
not
is optional but if you know that information include it. To find out
firmware version, do a star pound/hash/number 000 0 pound/hash/number
while
at the standby screen. The standby screen is the screen that shows you
the
cell providers name and is the first screen you land on after turning on
your phone and the screen reader is done coming up.

Produced on a Nokia N95 smart phone using a Symbian based screen reader.
