I wonder if it is related to the firmware as the new eloquence without the
dictionary file works perfectly on my e72-2
I even connected the handset to an amp and turned the volume very high in
case the noise was in the background but no it is not. I also made a call
to check the speech during a call but the new eloquence without dictionary
file is working just as it should.
I don't know if I should try the one with the dictionary or just leave
things alone.

Subject: [Talks] e72 symbol problem
The people that are having issues with the e72. Can you please provide
what firmware you have on the phone and if it is branded or
not to the cell provider or not. However the firmware version is required.
Brandede or not is optional but if you know that
information include it. To find out firmware version, do a star
pound/hash/number 000 0 pound/hash/number while at the standby
screen. The standby screen is the screen that shows you the cell providers
name and is the first screen you land on after turning on
your phone and the screen reader is done coming up.
Produced on a Nokia N95 smart phone using a Symbian based screen reader.

Hardware eventually fails, software eventually works.
No amount of bandwidth can fix poor design.
