Dave: When the problem first began, I hadn't installed a thing. I'm
not much of an app user. It worked for weeks, then one day it just
didn't.

Stephen: I asked myself those same questions when the problem became
persistent last week. I erased all emails in my inbox, outbox and sent
message, plus wiped out all emails. I even cleared out all reports.
Once I performed a hard reset, the handful of messages I'd received in
the interim were nuked anyhow. At the moment, I have 81 texts in my
inbox, 0 drafts, 46 sent messages and 48 emails, many of which haven't
yet been downloaded. The only program running is the home screen.
