You said you have some EMail that you have already downloaded! Do any of
these have attachments?
Also can you please tell us what the memory details show as far as messages?
This will tell you how much the messages are using as far as memory. The
memory details will give you informaiton on different things. Just arrow
down through them.

Hi guys,
Eleanor: it's curious -- when I ran the software updater, it said my
firmware was up-to-date despite the fact that I know new versions have
been released. I'm constrained a bit by the firmware that my wireless
provider will function with, but even so the software updater wont'
let me upgrade. It's bizarre. And no need to apologize for a thing!
Dave: I actually don't have any apps installed whatsoever beyond Talks
and Eloquence.

Michelle,
I'm wondering if there is one or more applications running in background
that you're not aware of, or have forgotten about. For example I have a
couple that are always running on my phone (that I can remember) -- Handy
Profile and Bird Step Smart Connect. If I didn't know for sure I might
also
have Flip Silent and Best Alarms running, but I know I've removed these
two.
These and other innocuous applications can bog down and eat up memory, so
check your installed applications to look for things like these.

Eleanor,
As mentioned before, I have tried turning the phone off an don again
without success. I also have minimal data on the phone, as outlined in
a previous message.
Thanks,
Michelle

Hello all,
I'm not sure if this message will pass muster, since it likely isn't
directly related to talks, If it doesn't, feel free to shut me down.
If it does, though, I'd be most grateful for any advice in resolving
that ridiculous "memory full" issue that crops up on some Nokia
phones.
I was a delighted user of the Nokia E71 for a couple of years, only
encountering "memory full" on understandable occasions and resolving
the problem quickly with a simple restart. Starting last week, though,
I would come across this message when I tried to send sms messages.
All other applications worked perfectly. I performed a hard reset of
my phone last weekend, and the problem appeared to be resolved. Now,
however, it's back. Phone memory details show I have 101MB of free
space, so this message is truly baffling.
Has anyone encountered potential fixes for this? Do different Talks
versions have any effect? I'm currently using V5.20.3 with Eloquence
US English.
I would be most grateful for any solutions list members have come up
with over the years. I'm rather attached to this phone and would
rather not switch, but this is ridiculous.
Many Thanks,
Michelle
