before you update, please confirm your phones model and current FW verse the FW
you are planning on installing, whilst yes, your data should be retained owing
to your phones capability of doing this, Talks may not work with that latest FW.

Sorry maybe that is stupid, but I can use my N95 still on web, e-mail etc so
I could not even think what I would gain by firmware updates. Then there is
my e72, again I would not update the firmware as it is all working fine. I
