mobile speak 3.82
i cant have 4 because my lisense is only to 3 versioners .
if i want 4 .6 i must upgrade the lisense and i s cost.

Niel, why say Mobile Speak users don't get free upgrades? They have only
ever charged for one upgrade so far, to version 4. I already know from
Caroline that upgrading to version 5 will be free.
I'm not saying Code Factory will never charge for an upgrade ever again,
but, surely, now that you sell Mobile Speak as well as Talks, and if
dealer support is a justification for the Talks transfer fee, shouldn't
the info you give on both be accurate? That way customers will know all
the facts before deciding which to go for.
I like to have both screen readers available to me, so I'm not having a go
about the fee. It's still more affordable than the sim-based license for
this girl with a handbag full of Nokias. LOL!

even if you'd changed phones once, Talks was still cheaper, and only tips
over that when you buy your second phone, and even then only by half the
transfer fee.

now yes this is only £80, but you do not get any upgrades with that, you
have to pay for those, and you do with Talks, and each time you buy a
new phone and a transfers of Talks, you keep on getting the latest
version.

I have no problem paying the £150 for the Talks licence itself. I fully
understand the level of resource required by the developers in producing

marketing the product. It is good value in a very small marketplace. Of

We have already paid for a licence to use Talks.
The transfer of the licence from one phone to another is required to

or at least limit, piracy of their software, which is fully
understandable .
Talknav do provide a simple and easy means of transferring the licence.
It is done without human intervention, in most cases, and its real
on-going
cost to Talknav and Nuance is minimal. The development of the Ap to do
that
should not have been a complex task in these days of tools to assist in
"shopping" utilities.
I really think that the price of the transfer should bear some
relationship
to the cost of it. After all, we are only paying for the privilege of
moving
a licence we have already paid for to another phone, which we have also
paid
for by one means or another.
I really do believe that in the fully automated world we live in that
this
fee should be reduced.
Clearly, I do not know if the level of the fee is set by Nuance or the
dealership network.
