+1 for plaza mapping and any other predominantly foot-dominated expanse in any
usage like a plaza or wherever people are usually walking around.
The commons to me seem more like a “park” - I wouldn’t tag it like a park, but
a commons area where people sit on the grass and eat lunch certianly isn’t like
a plaza. there may be a path through these areas like this as well.
lots of urban areas have commons around buildings that are not mere landscaping
- are those parks? landuse=grass? highway=ped?
