I think that we should draw more clear borderline between really closed
circles private (mainly homes) and other semi-private objects, be it
because of the customership, military area access restrictions, club
members only, or for whatever.
The reasonale being that one very real use case is that some entity
mapping/providing the private objects might want to create a local
information map using standard OSM toolchains. I think it'd be a win-win
situation for both the provider and OSM to have those features because it
likely results in other, possible more important, objects related to that
same provider (and even in its surroundings) getting some real interest
too. Otherwise we'd be directing such entities towards closed alternatives
which definately would be bad in the long term, IMHO.

I agree, a separate keyspace such as private:*=* would be useful.
