Moreover, a serious definition about station vs substation is available as a reply of the wiki modification announce. http://lists.openstreetmap.org/pipermail/tagging/2010-January/001148.html I must agree with polderrunner and others saying power=station musn't be used to describe a place where electric power is swiched and transformed. In the meantime, I would agree with power=plant is better than power=station to describe a place where electric power is produced according to the proposal of don-vip. The problem with that big RFC is it uses power=substation instead of power=sub_station.
