This is one of the main fun parts I think. Even with QoS you see ~15ms packet jitter on WiFi.

It doesn't matter whether the DA is clocked from the data or if there is a resampling step. Either way you need to consume the data at the rate it is being sent.

I have implemented a similar thing and had phase-locked audio coming out of ~20 iPod touches using one enterprise-grade access point.

I used the CELT codec. I think it would be a struggle to get a large number of uncompressed channels distributed over WiFi.

You will also need to have good control over the WiFi drivers.
