There was a recall early on in the life of the Tekkeon battery detailed here: http://www.tekkeon.com/recall/ but the latest models seem fine. Indeed, I've run my DR-680 and a Metric Halo ULN-8 from mine with no problems, and will be trying it out with the 788 once I can get a custom cable made. There used to be an extender that you used with a custom mount to give twice the operating life, which B&H also sold. Might be worth checking it out.
