Not a bad day at all, although a film crew in the area meant that I was
somewhat restricted as to where I could be, so only one close-up recording.
However, I did get to try the ULN-8 with the Prestigio/Tekkeon battery pack and
although it works perfectly well, the current demand of the ULN-8 with all
channels providing phantom power proved to be pretty hefty and I was down to
around 50% on the battery monitor after 45 minutes. I'll do a more complete
test later.

I started the DR-680 with Duracell Ultras, with a Sennheiser 418 and a Schoeps
M/S pair (CMC4/8) and watched the juice drain out like water down a plug-hole,
then switched to the freshly charged Energizers, which lasted the rest of the
day (not continuously) with no problems. I guess that the 2600 mA versions
would be even better.

Regards,

John
