Can I assume that this elevation change would serve the same purpose as a draft curtain or would one still be needed?

The higher roof will have ESFR protection. The lower roof will be ordinary hazard. I would like to utilize extended coverage sprinkler heads at the lower roof on a spacing of 20’-0” x 20’-0” This spacing voids the QR rating of the extended coverage sprinkler. I thought that there was something in the code that I cannot find where it talks of change in roof height. So my question is would the change in roof height serve at a draft curtain between the 2 systems. Bruce Hermanson President TSFP Holdings Inc.
