Plus has a superb syntax highlighting feature that's fully customizable. Also does column mode (rarely needed, but when you need it, you really need it), hex mode (wonderful for 0x0D 0x0A problems!), and a lot of other bells and whistles. If you have to use Windows for your day to day work, and if you spend any amount of time coding, or otherwise processing text files, Ultraedit rocks. Oh, it's also got a search/replace that can understand REs.


Best $30 I've ever spent (shareware/nagware, so you can try it out first).
