You clearly don't understand that most spam complaints do not go to the
spammers. It's called a joe job and it's something I am suffering under
right now. We have received well over 5,000 spam complaints from mostly
automated ignorant systems in the last 2 weeks. I respond to each and every
complaint. Not one of the spam complaints was for spam that originated from
my systems. Not one of the spam complaints could I stop or have any affect
on. All these automated complaints are doing is costing me time, money, and
my sanity. You want to add to the load? Go ahead all you will do is drive
more and more antispam resources off of the net. Here is the message I am
sending out to those who complain it is not automated. Personally I want to
find the maker of the automated reporting softwares and take them to court
as they are costing me time and money. It would have been a simple matter to
check to see if the spam originated from the network in question and if so
send the complaint. If it didn't ignore it.

---- My spam complaint response ---

You need to speak with your ISP and request they block the originating mail
server which are located in China. Be sure to send them the complete headers
of the message so they can accurately identify the sending servers.

Compu-Net Enterprises neither sends nor condones the sending of unsolicited
bulk email. We do not tolerate it originating from our customers, our
servers, or our IP address allocations.

A common tactic of spammers is to target those they dislike by including
email addresses of those they don't like in the spam they send out. This is
the case with all spam originating from [EMAIL PROTECTED],
[EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED], and numerous other randomly generated
compu.net domain email addresses. This is commonly called a Joe Job for
more information see
http://www.techtv.com/news/culture/story/0,24195,3415219,00.html.

Compu-Net Enterprises has taken the time to individually respond to every
single complaint sent to our personal, company, and abuse addreses costing
thousands of man hours to do so. Not a single one has been ignored. a
spammer would not do this.

We recently stopped running a blackhole list which was used by over 1500
mail servers handling mail for tens of thousands of domain names for the
purpose of blocking spam from spammers. The spammer in question stung by the
effectiveness of our block list decided to deceive people like yourself into
harassing us with complaints and threats for emails we have no way of
preventing nor stopping.

Here is verifiable documentation for our assertions of innocence from some
of the worlds largest media organizations..

Once again I clearly and emphatically state "The email in question did not
originate from our servers, IP allocations, nor anyone associated with us".
We apologize that our domain name has been usurped to send this spew to
peoples email boxes but there's little to nothing that we can do about it.
