Ah. Reading through the suggestions on Bugzilla - having everything in
/usr/local/etc may be 'consistant' with SpamAssassin ,  but it's going to
cause upgrade headaches, especially if it defaulted otherwise.

Perhaps the Makefile.PL could check to see which already exists
(/etc/mail/spamassassin or /usr/local/etc/mail/spamassassin), and use that
one. Or, ask, like it does for Razor2.

Simply switching between versions however is a bad idea.
