Really?
Nope, sorry. Didn't catch that. THey are run from seperate cf files in the /etc/mail/spamassassin dir. They are run for the entire company! Every bit of email that enters company is subject to all of these rules. > > > On a side note, I'm still using 2.4x and about 70% of my points come > > from custom rules. What's the point in running up the score of messages that are > already being correctly tagged? > My goal is to get every piece of spam over 7 points. At that point they get delivered to spamtrap and not user. When I write a new rule, it isn't to get a spam from 20.3 to 21.5, but to get a 5.5 to a 7.0. Simply marking the email as spam was only the first step. I don't want my users to see any. I take a spam being scored at 6.0 as a failure to me. Sure it was marked, but it was delivered. :-) My biggest spam pain right now is being marked. scores a 5.5 consistantly. But it is driving me crazy to get it over 7.0. Silly embedded mime!! :-P I also have a bunch of negative rules to keep my ham safe. I can't stop either. Rule writing is like crack. Need to write rules.
