Tom,

I still want to give it a try.
I use sendmail and procmail uses spamd
tmda wants also in procmail, and I have no idea if that can be done, just by putting the suggested procmail of tmda after the existing lines of spamd. If yes, than I can go to the next level.
I do now want to change sendmail to qmail, or postfix, .... (Don't fix, what is not brocken) Sendmail is working.

I could find out that all your concern is manageable with tmda, the mailing lists, ... all The social part is sure a problem, but it is alreay one:
I am using in sendmail a very strikt access file, which does not allow to send mails to me from the biggest ISPs in Taiwan, .... They do not care, but I need the messages from their customers though. To convience them to use hotmail or yahoo is not possible either. That is my motivation to use tmda.

bye

Ronald

I suppose that you could use spamassassin to branch into tmda.
But I don't know how you would get the confirmation to branch as well.

I came up with an alternative that appears to be working. I invite you to review it and give me any feedback. It's conceptually similar to tmda but with better feedback. I've included a big fat .png to explain some of it as well.
