I don't consider that a mis-feature. I'd rather not have spam, and viruses, take up space on my system while I'm still deciding what to do with them. Especially in the case of messages which don't have a valid bouncing address. Why have them take up space in my queue while sendmail times out on "I can't deliver this back to the bouncee?"
