That doesn't help people he sends to who might not have that, but your suggestion does give me an idea. Anyone who is already using procmail who prefers to reply to the list by default can easily add a recipe for each mailing list they receive which rewrites a Reply-To as X-Reply-To and writes a new Reply-To with the group address. That not only would make them happy and function as a whitelist, but it works better than the list administrator setting Reply-To the group because it preserves the correct address to reply to the author.
