I think I would prefer to see SpamAssassin stay a spam filter and not try to be a virus scanner. While I have no problem at all with anyone adding a rule to catch anything they like I don't think virus scanning should be developed into SpamAssassin. One of the problems I see with having SA check for viruses is - what do you do with them after you find them? We tag spem for customers (or even if you put it in it's own folder) it's pretty likely that eventually someone will check the spam, see a message from a 'buddy' and launch the virus anyway. All SA is going to do is delay the virus a little bit. There are plenty of other methods available to filter viruses that are dedicated to that task. We use Kaspersky's AVP for FreeBSD and find it works wonderfully. One vote for not developing this into SA...
