Sorry, I meant chlorine dioxide. I get them mixed up. The University of
Oklahoma Libraries has used chlorine dioxide as a treatment for mold on books
since 1991. I keep a hanger with a packet of this in my bathroom all the time.
It helped when we had musty odors in the spare bedroom. (We found rotten wood
under the windows when we replaced them last summer.)
