the indian obsession with the right hand is not restricted to just food. on numerous ocassions the subziwallah or the local bania's (shopkeepers?) would be deeply offended if i gave them money with the left hand. It will be accompanied by a "bonii ka time hai, woh haath se do" (its business time, give the money with your right hand).
