Well, IMHO, all those no-freezer-needed no-preservative types from MTR
et al are very high on Sodium & Saturated fats. I used to survive on
them for a while during my travel days in the US. Then sense kicked in

The alternative would be typical US diets (fat rich meats, huge portions,
sour cream in a lot of places you wouldnt look for it, etc etc)

Europe is the healthiest place to eat local. And both are places where
vegetarians are going to struggle - especially if their idea of
vegetarianism is restricted to south indian vegetarian food .. rice +
sambar + curry.

Hell, even indian non vegetarians tend not to adjust too well. Like the
andhra software types I was sitting near on a local train in KL some months
back. They were bitching about how the local food has too much coconut for
their taste, were talking about bringing back avakaya from home, locating
indian hotels that served andhra chicken ..
