LOL !!!! So you want a check-post every five kilometers in bangalore
to stop every vehicle carrying a muslim female (or male) passenger...
How will you know anyone is a muslim in the first place ?! Also you
will have to start by purging the police and the military of muslims
(and then extend it to the civil service and other arms of government)
-- i say that because you have highlighted sri lanka as a glowing
example.

Coastal security is in the hands of multiple agencies... the waters
are in the hands of the coast guard (but not coastal land, thats the
police...and not the ports thats the govt. ports authority...) -
unlike the US where coastal security is under one body. The funniest
thing i remember once during a visit to chennai docks is a policeman
chasing a suspected thief who jumped into the water and swam away. The
policeman couldn't give chase because he did not know how to swim.

Its quite funny how much faith people want to suddenly place in
government - when that government cant even supply a safe glass of
drinking water.
