One woke up a long time ago. My two cents... We need people with guts and grit at the helm of affairs (politically) in India. Unfortunately, all of those who can really make a difference are busy "living" their lives and those in power are mostly those who have nothing better to do in life. People who are honest are probably knocked off before they can make a dent in the corrupt politicians world. As such, there is not much to hope for really. :-) Before someone starts aiming the flamethrower at me, there are exceptions to the corrupt politicians, I agree. Yours truly is guilty as the rest of the "living" people. I have no time or inclination right now to actively involve myself in politics to be able to make a difference. Neither can I start a grassroots movement to make an iota of difference to the already corrupt politicians. Those who tried are silenced one way or the other. The "awakened" populace is actually a minority and the "sleeping" folks can be easily fooled or bought over. Probably the same story the world over, except that this is the second populous nation with an unstable and trigger happy neighbour, who incidentally is nuclear. What fun!
