I've had quite a bit of experience in this area having developed a similar site back in 2003/04 http://smsquotes.com.au This site has seen no development love since we launched but it does provide the same sort of functionality (plus real time price alerts) as StockTrap. We've recently mothballed this service (no longer taking new deposits) because of the declining interest. For the first few years it was quite successful but with the growth of internet enabled smart phones and online brokers providing similar services interest waned. Now with the ASX launching their free iPhone service (Iguana2 was involved in this project) I think you'll really struggle to get any traction. Not trying to be a downer...
