I'd rather you saved the beer money to pull in a prospective customer, and the cash to build your business. (FYI I'm a Chartered Accountant).
As for the answer to your question, you're going to need at least one board director who is Australian. As a private company, you only need to have one directory minimum, but that's assuming they are Aussie.
