I did a hybrid solution where I think I weaked the msbuild files to point to
the 2.0 targets or something. Basically you'd be using Votive Beta3 bits but
once built the resultant MSI and CA's would be WiX 2.0. That might be an
acceptable solution to you.

I've not found a acceptable designer yet. Votive is nice start for how it
should `fit in` with Visual Studio, but beyond that it's nothing more then code
editor, not a true designer.
WiXAware is a nice designer, but it throws exceptions on about every screen I
click on and it only suppor
Why not just add two RegistrySearch elements, one looking in the
WOW6432Node, and one in the standard location. If Windows Installer
can't find the first location it will look in the next.
