I have an ADM from Andrew and I've pulled Daniel Quinlan's ADM file from the
Internet and have started messing with those to see what pieces may need to be
added to cover everything that is in the documentation.
Is there anything anyone would like to point out that I should be aware (or

It just so happens that Daniel Quinlan rolled through everything configurable

If you try the test Andrew shows, the real question is: do you get the Web

able to connect to the server, since the applet "switches" you to 5900 after
being served.

Jose,
If you're using the latest version of wingate it has a built-in firewall
function that will block lots of ports. I can't remember the details, but
one way I've used it in the past is to allow vnc to run on screen 0, but put
in a tcp mapping from port 5800 to 5801 (and the same with 5900 if

Alex,
I developed the ADM file I sent you under Windows XP. I'm fairly sure
that with a bit of testing, we can get some comfort levels with the ADM
file under Group Policy in Win2k and XP.
I had no idea that the ADM file format was static enough that NT 4.0 was

recall all the ins and outs of how the ADM files work across platforms, but I
had been under the impression that the key difference was the method of

Hi There,
I am new to using VNC and am encountering a problem. I am using Windows
2000 Professional with Service Pack 2.
It seems like the CTRL key periodically gets stuck and the only way to
correct this is to reboot the server. When this happens I am not able to

Tony:
Heya. The easiest thing to do is to setup the Netgear
box to do the port-mapping, and then put the IP address that
you want to allow to connect in the AuthHosts registry setting
for your VNC server. For some exact examples see the AuthHost
section of:
http://www.uk.research.att.com/
Does anyone have a recent documentation on setting up open ssh
with public/private keys? The newest document I can find is Dated
December 16 2001.

I haven't tried to connect to VNC thru Wingate but I have used Wingate
