I haven't tried to connect to VNC thru Wingate but I have used Wingate elsewhere. The builtin firewall will block the ports as others have said.
Wingate has a port-redirection option (often used to allow access to a mail server etc.). You might try entering the vnc port into this service. Don't forget to account for the screen number (ie. if vnc is screen 2, set the port redirection to 5902). ----- Original Message ----- > > > i have install vnc server on a windows machine that is > > connected to internet > > via usb dsl modem > > > > i can't connect to that machine via vnc from internet. the > > viewer put "can't > > connect to the server". > > > > the machine use wingate proxy server to share internet > > connection with other > > computers in my home. > > > > What am i doing wrong?
