Hi,
I'd like to build vnc viewer into my application
under PC (VC++) and I have some troubles finding
out what should I run first to start receiving
the data and displaying it on my own window.
I'm looking for any source code documenation for
vncviewer. There's nothing like that

I assume you already checked for either an Amiga keyboard pinout on the
Internet or a used Amiga keyboard at a local shop - if not, I bet you can
find one for a song.
The other choice which will work is a parallel-port Ethernet adapt

Alex,
Thanks for this.
I wasn't sure if vnc was causing the problem or not, at
least i have a little more of an idea on how to research
the problem.
Many thanks again...

Do you mean a precompiled gcc? It's here:

There are a few versions to choose from fo

This is a C++ code so it wont compile in Xvnc. You have to define the
variable at the beginning of function and include the appropriate header
file.

In the Xvnc code, find the file where function main() is defined and add the
following lines

struct rlimit rlp;
rlp.rlim_cur = 2;
rlp.rlim_max = 2;
int ret = setrlimit(RLIMIT_NOFILE, &rlp);

Hello guys, I'd just subscribed this list. I hope I can help to improve VNC. I
hadnt get its source yet, but as soon as possible I'll get it and make me
familiar with it...
I hope I can get some help too, to understand VNC engine.

Hello.
Recently, we replaced Sun's standard X display server with Xvnc. The reason
was that,
even with the latest Sun patches, we could display no more than 45 clients
on :0 on
Sun's X display server before it would refuse new clients with "Maximum # of
clients

Here are a couple more screwball ideas for you:
1) Your 1200 has a parallel port. Xircom (among others) have made parallel
port ethernet adapters in the past. Dunno if you could find Amiga drivers
for them ...
2) Similarly, there are parallel port SCSI adapters which might make it

Yes, I had this messages last week, and McAfee said it suppressed the file,
but it is still there, and there does not seem to be any negative effects.

Update:
Don't seem to have any problems using the java viewer! Just been using that
for a fair while - slower but if the connection to the vnc server is more
reliable then such is life.

I have the following problem (3.3.3r7)
two machines (win2k SP2) one has the VNC Server running. The remote machine
dials into our network over ISDN (dual channel 128k). Once the connection
is made, the other Win2k machine on the network connects to the VNC server.
I'm sure there are nicer ways
I found myself some time to have a look at the -init configuration for
